  • Charles Wetsel – Conservation Officer Wetsel was stabbed and killed October 1, 1897
  • August Olson – Conservation Officer Olson died March 19, 1922
  • Joseph E. Kreager – Conservation Officer Kreager drowned on Grand Lake. May 26, 1922
  • Frank J. Appel – Conservation Officer Appel was killed in a motorcycle accident. May 8, 1925
  • Joseph Twaddle – Conservation Officer Twaddle was killed when his patrol car was struck by a train near Cotton, Minnesota. April 25, 1930
  • Norman D. Fairbanks – Conservation Officer Fairbanks was shot April 24, 1930 and died two weeks later from his wound. May 3, 1930
  • John Linklater – Conservation Officer Linklater drowned in Basswood Lake. July 8, 1933
  • Douglas P. Brady – Conservation Officer Brady, Officer Marcus Whipps, and Officer Melvin Holt were shot and killed while investigating illegal fish shipments to Iowa. July 12, 1940
